Alessandri, Ph.D. Named Dean of the School of BusinessHe joins Bryant from Northeastern University, where he served as associate dean for undergraduate education in the D'Amore-McKim School of Business. His first day as a Bulldog is July 22, 2024.

Alessandri comes to Bryant at a critical time. In the fall, the College of Business will move into the 250,000-square-foot Business Entrepreneurship Leadership Center. In addition to classrooms, the newly renovated, state-of-the-art facility will be home to lab spaces and centers, including the recently announced Hauck Sales Performance Lab and the Ellen Wilson Leadership Center. The College of Business' new facility also includes active learning and engagement hubs, including an Entrepreneurship Center, AI, Data Science and Digital Marketing Labs and a Maker Space. These new initiatives will significantly enhance experiential learning opportunities for Bryant students, drawing local, national and international business leaders to campus to mentor the business pioneers of the future.

During his time at Northeastern, Alessandri was responsible for coordinating academic programs across three campuses: Boston, Oakland, California, and London. He oversaw the development and administration of interdisciplinary curricula while managing advisors and co-educational staff. He developed and implemented strategic plans to strengthen undergraduate business programs and, through collaboration with leadership, helped develop and implement new strategic initiatives across the university. Prior to becoming an associate dean, he led Northeastern's full-time MBA program. As a professor, he has taught at Northeastern University, Providence College, Syracuse University, and Babson. He has served as visiting professor at the following universities: He has been teaching at the Universita Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Piacenza, Italy, since 2012. Prior to joining academia, he held finance and accounting positions at Lifeline System, Inc. and PwC.
Alessandri joins Bryant University's College of Business, which continues to rise in the rankings. The school earned Money magazine's No. 6 ranking for undergraduate business majors.
