Franklin Chamber of Commerce Upcoming Events
The Greater Franklin Chamber of Commerce has several upcoming events planned.
Chamber of Commerce and city officials will celebrate the grand opening of Home Run Burgers and Fries with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 1599 N. Morton St. on May 30 at 2 p.m.
The Chamber's Young Professionals Network will meet June 4 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Career-minded people ages 21 to 40 are invited to a casual, open-house-style networking evening in the lounge at Garment Factory Events, 101 E. Wayne St. in Franklin. The event is free to attend and light refreshments will be provided. Registration is not required, but would be appreciated.

Duke Energy steps up talent attraction
Duke Energy has selected a local economic development organization for its 2024 Partnership Program, which will fund marketing and strategic efforts to attract new jobs and investment to the communities the company serves.
Aspire Johnson County, along with Life In Indy and Festival Country Indiana, received $5,000 to launch a digital advertising campaign focused on attracting talent to the region. The social media and Google Ads campaign will raise awareness about the livability of the Central Indiana region.
Partnership Program grants can be used to support a variety of marketing activities, including trade show participation, website redesigns, promotional materials, and presentations and tours to introduce prospective businesses and site selectors to the community. To be eligible for program consideration, each applicant must submit a plan that will directly impact the economic growth of their community.
High school students can get summer fitness passes
Planet Fitness invites high school students ages 14-19 to work out at any Planet Fitness location for free from June 1 through Aug. 31 as part of its nationwide High School Summer Pass program.
The High School Summer Pass program gives teens the opportunity to prioritize their mental and physical health goals while school is out. All High School Summer Pass participants receive access to free fitness training from certified fitness trainers in the club, free workouts designed specifically for high school students on the free Planet Fitness app, and workout plans available at PlanetFitness.com/summerpass.

FC graduates join Catalyst
Catalyst Public Affairs Group has announced Jackson Aylstock as the newest member of its team. Aylstock is a graduate of Franklin University and joins Catalyst as a Government Relations Associate following a career in political campaigns and recent service in Congress. Jackson will graduate from Franklin University in Spring 2024 with a Bachelor's degree in History.
