Newsflash: Sophia Bush has no engagement surprise.
“I hear the internet is abuzz but I have no 'news' for you guys,” Bush wrote in an Instagram Story posted on May 25 in response to online rumors that she and her TikTok partner, Ashlyn Harris, were engaged. “But wouldn't you want to put your hand inside her jacket if you could? (Clearly, I can't because I have limitations but I'm that generous person so I'll continue to do so).”
TikTok creators analyzed a photo the couple posted from a trip to Paris, France, in which the former “One Tree Hill” star is seen embracing the former football player and appearing to hide his left hand inside his partner's jacket.
To deny the rumors, Bush addressed the speculation on social media, showing off his ring-free left hand. that finger.
“This is the first time you've ever seen me this happy and full of energy. It's the first time for me too. I am so blessed,” Bush wrote in another Instagram Story alongside a photo of her and Harris, according to screenshots shared by E! News and People magazine.

Aside from the TikTok rumors, Instagram posts from @tasteof_reality have also speculated that Bush and Harris are possibly happily engaged. “I have no data to back this up other than hand positions but I think #SophiaBush and #AshlynHarris are engaged 👀💍,” Instagram user @tasteof_reality captioned a series of photos.
Sadly, Bush commented on a photo of her throwing up a peace sign, “Hope TikTok calms down on this. On with the road, my friend.”

Sophia Bush comes out as queer, addresses Ashlyn Harris affair rumors
In a personal essay for Glamour magazine, Bush addressed the rumors of infidelity and his relationship with Harris for the first time.
According to People magazine, Bush, who filed for divorce from entrepreneur Grant Hughes in August after a year of marriage, and Harris, who filed for divorce from former teammate Ali Krieger a month later, were rumored to be dating in October.
Bush explained that there was slow preparation and “painful conversations” before he and Harris began dating, but social media portrayed their love affair as an affair.

“The ugliest rumors began to fly online: outright lies, violent threats, accusations that I was a family wrecker,” she wrote. “Some people have said that I broke up with my ex because I suddenly wanted to be with a woman, but my partner has known what I'm interested in for as long as I have.”
Regarding his sexuality, Bush said, “I think the word that best describes it is 'queer.' In fact, I can't say it without laughing. It feels so amazing.”
“I'm absolutely delighted. It's taken me 41 years to get to this point, and I marvel at it, but I also listen to people's pain,” she continued, paying tribute to victims of “bullying, harassment and non-consensual exposure.”

The pair made their red carpet debut as a couple just days after Bush came out as queer and confirmed his relationship with Harris.
The pair posed on the red carpet at the White House Correspondents' Dinner on April 27. They both wore black outfits by Harbison and Bryony Raymonde jewelry for the event.
After the gathering of journalists, Hollywood stars and politicians, Presidents Bush and Harris also posed for a photo together at the Swiss ambassador's residence.
