Although the latest series of Race Across the World has only just finished, the BBC is already gearing up for a new global adventure with a special new edition of Celebrity Race Across the World for 2024.
The show's latest episode saw five couples embark on a thrilling journey across East Asia without smartphones or the internet, covering more than 15,000km. Instead, each couple had to rely on their wits and the generosity of strangers to cross the finish line first and win the £20,000 prize.
Shortly after crowning the youngest ever winner (no spoilers), the BBC quickly teased the announcement of a new celebrity edition, but who will be taking part and where will it all lead?

Unfortunately, we don’t know when Celebrity Race Across The World 2024 will hit our screens, but we can be sure that it will be coming soon.
The 2023 version premiered in late September and kept audiences entertained until late October, and presumably, this new series is expected to follow the same release schedule.

The BBC aired the teaser just after the credits rolled for the climactic finale of series four, offering a glimpse of the mysterious celebrities trying to get from one place to another.
Celebrity Race Around the World Journey
As you can imagine, not only are we unable to watch a trailer for the show, but we also don't know where these new celebs will have to travel or where they'll be starting from.
The 2023 Celebrity Race Across the World sent stars from Marrakech via Morocco to Tromso in Norway.
Parts of the trailer showed the couple against a green and hilly backdrop, but unfortunately, that didn't narrow it down much. Until an official announcement is made, we'll all be just as lost as one of the show's contestants.

The full lineup for Celebrity Race Across the World 2024 has yet to be announced, but the internet is still speculating which celebrities will be taking part.
After the teaser aired on BBC One, some were convinced they recognised the voice of one of the characters featured in it.
“OMG is that @scott_mills' voice heard in the trailer for Celebrity Race Across the World?” one user mused, suggesting radio presenter Mills is set to make his first appearance on Race Across the World.
The 2023 edition will feature four couples – presenter Alex Beresford and his father Noel, singer Melanie Blatt and her mother Helen, musician Harry Judd and his mother Emma, and racing driver and commentator Billy Monger and his brother Bonnie.
