In an interview with The Sunday Times last August, Brown called Bongiovi his “soul mate”.
“I can't tell you exactly why, but it's just a feeling of knowing that he's the person I want to spend the rest of my time with. I think a big part of life is overthinking. The one thing that was crystal clear to me was him,” she said.
“My parents have a lot of respect for him.[Jake and I]have had our parents together for a really long time, and they were really young when they first got together, so I've always had a great role model for love,” Brown added. “His family is amazing and has welcomed me into their world, and I'm so grateful to be a part of their world.”
Her father-in-law also expressed his approval of the young couple during an appearance on the “Andy Cohen Live” show in May 2023.
“Millie is amazing. Her whole family is amazing,” Bon Jovi told Cohen. “Jake is very, very happy.”

When asked if he was worried about his son getting married in his early 20s, Bon Jovi told Cohen that it wasn't a concern.
“I don't think age matters if you find the right partner and you grow together,” Bon Jovi said. “My advice would be, it's wise to grow together. So I think all my kids have found people that they feel they can grow with and we all love them.”
