**According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, the importation of poultry and other bird products from the Australian state of Victoria into the United States is prohibited to help prevent the spread of avian influenza.
Processed poultry products and by-products imported from Victoria will require an import permit or government certificate from APHIS demonstrating they meet the agency's requirements.
Restrictions will be updated as more information becomes available.
**Seven FFA students have been selected as U.S. Presidential Scholars for achievements in academics, the arts, and career and technical education.
