Princess Lilibeth turned three today, and her parents, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, celebrated the special occasion with a party over the weekend.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left members of the royal family off the invitation list for their daughter's birthday party amid their bitter, years-long feud, a royal expert claims.
Princess Lilibeth turned three today, and her parents celebrated the special occasion with a party over the weekend at their home in Montecito, Calif. Meghan and Prince Harry kept the guest list small and are believed to have invited no members of the royal family.
No members of the royal family attended the party, but some of Meghan and Harry's close friends and family were in attendance, as well as several of Lilibet's friends. Royal author Tom Quinn claims that celebrities such as Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom and his daughter Daisy were also in attendance.

Speaking exclusively to the Mirror, Tom said: “Instead of having a low-key celebration, Harry and Meghan enjoyed a pre-birthday party last weekend to mark their daughter Lilibet's third birthday. Though they didn't pack out any super expensive presents, the couple's California mansion was filled with celebrities, including Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, as well as their daughter Daisy, who is a few months older than Lilibet.”
Meghan and Harry are neighbours with Katie and Orlando, who moved into their Montecito home after stepping down as royals, and they also live near Ellen DeGeneres, Gwyneth Paltrow and Oprah Winfrey.
While many celebrities attended Lilibet's birthday party, no members of the royal family were invited. Tom said, “Surprisingly, no invitations were issued to any members of the royal family for Lilibet's party.”
“One of Harry's old army friends said: 'Harry knew they weren't coming and I'm sure he wouldn't have wanted them to be there, but he is really sad that Archie and Lilibet will not be able to have any relationship with their cousins due to the ongoing family feud.'”
Lilibet has only met the royal family once, when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle took their children to attend the 50th anniversary of the reign of the late Queen Elizabeth II, which coincided with Lilibet's first birthday.
Her family celebrated with an intimate picnic in the backyard of Frogmore Cottage. Photographer Misan Harriman was one of the few people on the guest list. He shared photos from the party on social media, writing, “It was such an honor to celebrate Lilibet's 1st birthday with my family! Everyone enjoyed the joy and face painting!”
