Nearly three months after Jim Demetriades put his Los Angeles mansion, Villa Theos, on the market for a staggering $85 million, the veteran tech entrepreneur is now listing another, smaller home he owns next door for just under $12.5 million.
The Kairos Ventures founder and CEO has owned a much larger property in the Beverly Hills Post Office area since 2000. At the time, he and his new wife, Nancy, paid $8.4 million for a home and then began piecing together a series of red brick and stucco buildings that cost tens of millions of dollars to assemble, with 13 bedrooms and 16 bathrooms in 28,000 square feet on two parcels of land spanning more than two acres.

Along the way, in 2005, the Greek native purchased the house next door for another $6.5 million. The house is a modern structure originally built in 1956 and was previously owned by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Records show the legendary Lakers basketball center bought the place in the early 1990s for about $2.2 million and later added an indoor sports court and a gym with a spa and steam room. The six-time NBA MVP lived in the house until the summer of 2001, when he sold it for $500,000 more than his original purchase price.
Set atop a promontory in the popular Beverly Crest neighborhood, on nearly an acre of land with expansive city lights and ocean views, this four-bedroom, five-bathroom home is tucked away behind a long gated driveway. Inside, you'll find just over 6,300 square feet of renovated living space with high ceilings and large walls of glass providing a seamless indoor-outdoor environment.
