On Saturday night, Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin hosted the first annual Celebrity Basketball Game, which featured a host of well-known athletes and influencers.
Featuring Aaron Donald, Brandon Marshall, Julian Newman, James Cook, Micah Hyde, Jenna Bundy, Trey the Truth, Geno Stone, Cillian Neal, Jason Barrera, Gillie Da Kid, Miles Sanders, Tyler Boyd, Cam Johnson, Puff Johnson, DeJuan Blair, Flavor Flav, Dane Jackson, Hot Shot Swanson and Dion Dawkins.
Additionally, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson was also at the event, arriving at halftime and giving Donald a hug as soon as he entered the gym.
Hamlin, the host of the event, is the Bills' backup safety. He appeared in five regular-season games last season, recording two tackles (all solo), and also appeared in the Bills' two playoff games, recording two tackles against the Kansas City Chiefs. He finished second in the NFL Comeback Player of the Year Award, receiving more first-place votes than eventual winner Joe Flacco.
Hamlin, a local product, originally committed to the University of Pittsburgh as a four-star recruit out of Pittsburgh Central Catholic University, choosing the school over offers from nearly every major university in the country, and developed into one of the top safeties in college football during his time at Pittsburgh.
