Former Boston Celtics, current New England Patriots and Olympic gold medalists will gather at TD Garden on Sunday night to watch the Celtics face off against the Dallas Mavericks in Game 2 of the 2024 NBA Finals.
Nearly a dozen former Celtics, including Hall of Famer Paul Pierce, are scheduled to watch Game 2. Other former Celtics who played in Game 1 and will return for Game 2 of the 2024 NBA Finals include Dana Barros, Tacko Fall, Leon Powe and Shaquille O'Neal.
Medford rapper BIA, who is now signed to Pharrell's label I Am Other, will perform at halftime. She last appeared on the Billboard Hot 100 with Travis Scott on “Likka Sto 2,” who is also at TD Garden for the game with producer Metro Boomin.
Gold medalist gymnast Aly Raisman, a Needham native who sat courtside at TD Garden during the 2022 NBA Finals, will be in attendance tonight, as will three Bruins players: David Pastrnak, Charlie McAvoy and Jeremy Swayman.
The Philadelphia Eagles had more players than the New England Patriots in Game 1, but that shouldn't be the case tonight. Patriots players Jawaan Bentley, Diatrich Wise and KJ Osborne will be in attendance for Game 2, along with former coach Bill Belichick and recently retired special teams ace Matthew Slater, who will be paying tribute via video during the game.
