Amber Rose is one of the latest celebrities to endorse Donald Trump. Rose has voiced her support for Trump in the past, but after Trump was convicted of a felony, many were curious to know where she stands.
They got the answer TMZ He stopped Rose and asked her about her stance on women's rights issues, despite Trump's reputation for doing the opposite.
“Isn't Donald Trump for women's rights? He's trying to make America great again, and that means women,” Rose said.
Rose was then asked if she would still vote for Trump given his felony convictions and why she thought more celebrities would support him.
“I will still vote for Donald Trump. I think it will be more to his advantage. I think people will realize the injustice of what's happened and will want to vote for him more than ever,” Rose said. “We just finished the survey and I'm not brainwashed by the left anymore. I can say that about myself. I've been brainwashed for years, but I'm not brainwashed anymore.”
One might ask why Rose's comments matter in supporting Trump. What's odd is that Trump has a history of advocating policies that are harmful to women, while Rose claims to support women. In 2015, Rose organized SlutWalk, a women's rally aimed at addressing issues like sexual assault, street harassment and victim blaming.
Besides Rose, several other female celebrities have voiced their support for Trump, including rapper Sexy Redd. In a 2023 interview on the “This Past Weekend” podcast, Redd was asked about her political views and thoughts on Donald Trump.
“I like Trump,” Red said. “They support him with the poor.”
Redd said while he wasn't well-liked at first, that changed quickly once he started handing out benefits during the pandemic.
“I think at first, everybody hated him, they thought he was a racist and said stupid things about women,” Redd said. “But then he started releasing black people out of prison and giving free money to people, and then they were like, oh, we love Trump. We want him back as president.”
Recently, Redd performed in an outfit inspired by the American flag, with a giant hat onstage that read, “Make America Sexy Again.”
This may not seem like a big deal, but celebrities have a huge influence on the general public, so it's hard to imagine that their political views won't influence the opinions of some of their fans.
