RED OAK, Iowa – Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), Ranking Member of the Senate Committee on Small Business, today announced details for Sac County's Flower of the Week. Senator Ernst will be honoring small businesses in all 99 Iowa counties during this legislative session.

Cheryl Gary founded Details Flowers in 2000 with just two full-time employees and one delivery driver to provide in-person floral design, wedding services and home decor services in the Sac County area. Over the past 24 years, the business has grown, adding part-time employees who share Cheryl's passion for flowers, undergoing extensive renovations and relocating to the upper floors of its original location on Main Street. The Sac City Chamber of Commerce named Details Flowers its Business of the Year award in 2010 and 2023, and Business of the Month award in 2023. Cheryl and the entire team at Details Flowers continue to give back to the community by visiting nursing homes and assisted living facilities to deliver flowers to residents on Mother's Day and Father's Day.
