Bollywood icon Salman Khan, global star Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Malayalam megastar Mammootty, all took to their respective social media accounts to send congratulatory messages to fans.
Salman Khan shared a picture of himself sporting a serene smile against the backdrop of a sunset sky and wrote, “Happy Eid-ul-Adha!” Hundreds of fans were quick to react in the comments section, wishing their 'bhai' the return. Priyanka Chopra Jonas shared an Instagram story with a special bakrid message: “Happy Eid-ul-Adha. On Eid-ul-Adha, may your sacrifices be appreciated and your prayers be answered by God Almighty. Have a blessed Eid-ul-Adha.”

Malayalam megastar Mammootty kept his wishes short as per usual saying, “Eid greetings to you all.” Malayalam actor and BJP MP from Thrissur Suresh Gopi also extended his Eid greetings with a special illustration which read, “May this special day bring peace and happiness to all your hearts.”
Anil Kapoor shared an illustration on social media depicting people of all ethnicities celebrating Eid and wrote, “You couldn't find a more beautiful depiction of the spirit of Eid. #EidMubarak.”
Gaddar actor and former Bharatiya Janata Party MP Sunny Deol took to Instagram to wish everyone Eid, writing, “On this auspicious day, I wish you all peace, harmony and good health.”
Actors Abhishek Bachchan, Siddharth Malhotra, Parineeti Chopra, Madhuri Dixit, Arjun Kapoor, Suniel Shetty, Shilpa Shetty, Malaika Arora, Tamannaah Bhatia, Rakul Preet Singh, Jackky Bhagnani and Soha Ali Khan also sent Eid greetings to their fans across the world.
Eid al-Adha is the second most important festival in the Islamic calendar after Eid al-Fitr. Symbolizing Ibrahim's ultimate sacrifice Eid al-Adha, known as Abraham in Hebrew texts, is observed to show love and loyalty to Allah/God. The date of Eid al-Adha varies, but in the Islamic calendar it falls on the 10th day of the month of Dhul Hijjah.
