LAUSANNE, Switzerland, Dec. 07, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Distalmotion, a pioneer in innovative on-demand robotics, has appointed medical device industry leader Greg Roche as CEO. Subject to shareholder approval, Roche will also join the company's Board of Directors. Roche will lead Distalmotion's expansion initiatives for Dexter in the U.S. and EU.® We develop surgical robots and provide experienced insight and guidance for the next phase of the company's growth strategy.
Roche has more than 20 years of commercial and management experience in the medical technology industry and brings a wealth of expertise in the areas of laparoscopic surgery, endoscopic visualization and surgical robotics to Distalmotion.
Most recently, Roche served as CEO of Avatara Medical, furthering his leadership and experience in soft tissue robotic technologies, and prior to that he served as Global President of Robotics and Technology at Zimmer Biomet, where he led the successful global launch of ROSA.® He has driven above-market growth for the company by developing a robotic knee system and an innovative business model that meets the unique demands of ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs).Since the early 2000s, Roche has served in multiple sales and leadership roles for Stryker in the U.S. Roche is clearly positioned to bring extensive sales and marketing experience from each of these roles to Distalmotion.
