When it comes to clothes and accessories, I am very influenced.

As a celebrity shopping writer, it's fair to say that much of my closet is inspired by A-list celebrities like Oprah, Nicole Kidman, and Meghan Markle. For example, I've worn my new Oprah-approved Cozy Earth shorts set three times since it was gifted to me last week. I've layered my Nicole Kidman-inspired travel cardigan over everything from tank tops to pajama shirts. And like Meghan Markle, I pretty much live in ballet flats. It's fair to say that my closet isn't even my closet.

So as I started packing for a recent 10-day trip to Europe, I found my suitcase packed with amazing celebrity-inspired items, and I wanted to share with you all the things I love about them that are useful for both travel and everyday life.

Thanks to Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Garner and Katie Holmes, I've become obsessed with big bags like this one from Aldo, and I find them practical for summer: I can fit a water bottle or a book in it, and I can always touch up my makeup if it starts to run from sweating.

That being said, sometimes larger bags can be heavy and you need a smaller handbag. Luckily, this set also comes with a crossbody bag, so you can use it when you need a smaller bag or just want a change of pace.

I don't wear tight pants in the summer. period. In fact, I only wear pants that are super comfortable and keep me cool (which is especially important when I'm traveling abroad), like the loose linen styles worn by Jennifer Lawrence, Holmes, and Emma Watson.

I have a pair of white pants, but I recommend buying a darker colored pair like these from Caslon. Light pants are see-through so I always have to wear shorts underneath, but with these I don't need that extra layer. They're easy to wear day or night and one less thing to pack.

This $59 Lulus dress has puff sleeves and comes in a celeb-favorite pattern worn by Jennifer Aniston and Mindy Kaling.

They also won't be as hot as long draped sleeves or slip down like ill-fitting spaghetti straps. Depending on where you're going on vacation, it's a good idea to have at least one piece of clothing that covers your shoulders, since you never know where there might be dress code regulations.
