The celebrity beauty scene has reached a chic height in recent days, from Paris Haute Couture Week to fully glamorized days off. Side bangs and swept-back braids, combined with subtle makeup (think designer sunglasses hiding eyeshadow and gloves covering nails), gave front-row beauty a special touch. Some celebs ditched their nails for a more bare look with a full-on manicure, while others went for monochromatic looks, channeling the week's vibe of making a statement.
First up, Rihanna debuted her new look as the face of Dior's J'Adore, reminiscent of her dark coquette look on the front row at Dior Couture last season. Similarly, Thames showed up at Louis Vuitton with a rosy nose to match her sculpted cheeks and a naturally side-parted bob, while FKA Twigs showed up with a half-shaven head, obsidian skin and spiraling curls that exuded '20s glamour. In the US, Lizzo celebrated Juneteenth in a Diana Ross-esque black power look, complete with matte red lip, nails and a soft blow-dry. We couldn't take our eyes off Isan Elba and Auen Chol, who wore braided ponytails with no make-up, while Kehlani and Cardi B added sharp, glassy red nails to their bangs, and Justine Skye ditched the nails altogether.
