Sunday marked closing day for the In-N-Out Burger on Interstate 880 in Oakland.
No reason was given for the closure, but several restaurants in the area, including In-N-Out and Denny's, have closed recently, citing concerns about crime along the Hegenberger Corridor.
“We understand that the hospitality industry continues to be significantly impacted by post-pandemic economic trends, and as the owner of this site, the Port Authority will continue to explore how to best utilize the facility going forward,” the Port of Oakland said in a statement. “The Port Authority will continue to work with the facility operator and the City of Oakland to evaluate assistance we can provide to employees who may be impacted by this closure.”
