Canadian auto parts magnate Frank Stronach faces 13 charges of sexually assaulting multiple women between 1980 and 2023, police said Wednesday, as new charges against him continue to pile up.
Stronach, 91, was arrested earlier this month and subsequently released on bail, charged with five offences including rape, indecent acts and forcible confinement.
Constable Nikhil Chakravarthy of Peel Regional Police told AFP that new victims have come forward in recent weeks, leading to further allegations and that the multimillionaire was rearrested on Wednesday.
The new charges include attempted rape, indecent assault and six counts of sexual assault, although police did not disclose the number of victims.
Stronach, through his lawyer Brian Greenspan, said he “denies and will vigorously defend” the untested allegations in court and that he seeks to maintain his legacy as a philanthropist and Canadian business icon.

The Austrian-born, rags-to-riches immigrant built a small Canadian tool and die company into Magna International, one of the world's largest auto-parts makers, based in Aurora, Ontario.
At age 80, Stronach gave up control of the company, returned to Austria and ran for public office as leader of a new political party called Team Stronach.
A few years later, due to a loss of support, the party disbanded and he returned to Canada.
