In addition to not having an audience in the studio, the two campaigns have agreed not to interact with campaign staff, not to use notes and not to interrupt each other during the debate, CNN said in a statement.
Microphones will be muted except when candidates are speaking, and the network said the moderators will “take every measure to ensure punctuality and a civil debate.”
