Bruce Dickinson wasn't interested in the rich people in the front row at Iron Maiden's Power Trip concert

The first Power Trip Festival will be held in October. Iron Maiden, Metallica, Judas Priest, AC/DC, Guns N' Rosesand toolFront-row seating for all three days will cost you at least $1,399 per seat, before fees, so it's not a price that most of us are willing to stretch our wallets for.

Iron Maiden vocalist Bruce Dickinson He noted the type of person he is on the front line and spoke about his experience in a recent interview with Brazilian radio station 92.5 Kiss FM. Dickinson He said it felt like the front row crowd were the kind of people who just filmed everything and shared it online, while the real fans were sitting farther back.

“Power Trip was a bit of a strange experience for us. We did a good show. In fact, on Power Trip Otome It's a show. We didn't do something like, “This is a power trip, so we have to do our greatest hits right off the bat.” Otome It was a show that was just us doing everything we do on the Somewhere Back In Time tour, which is Death Of The Celts and all the other stuff. It was kind of weird because the audience had been standing outside in the heat all day. We had no support band. We went on stage in the cold. Well, cold with no warm-up. But, no, I think it sounded good. But it was an unusual situation.”

“What was a bit strange for us was that because the festival tickets were expensive, the people who should have been sitting in the front row of the stage were in the back. The people in the front row were all rich people who wanted to film everything on their phones, but the kids who wanted to hear the performances were in the back. It was a shame actually. This was not our festival, not our organisation. Next year we will go to America and do our own tour. The people who were in the front row are the ones who deserve to be in the front row. They will be real fans. It will be great.”

To be fair, Iron Maiden Ticket prices for front-row seats on the 2024 North American tour are expected to range from $150 to $350 per seat. That's still a lot, especially after you factor in the exorbitant fees, but it's at least marginally more affordable. And let's be realistic: Power Trip was aimed at an older, more affluent (and likely more Blues Lawyer-leaning) crowd.
