Emma Roberts is getting married!
The 33-year-old “American Horror Story” star revealed her engagement in an Instagram post on Tuesday, when Roberts shared a photo of herself with boyfriend Cody John showing off her ring.
“Putting this on here before my mom tells everyone,” she captioned the photo.

Roberts was in a relationship with actor Garrett Hedlund until 2022. The couple had a baby boy named Rose in 2020. In 2023, Roberts jokingly criticized her mother for sharing a photo of Rose's face on social media “without my permission,” but wrote, “I love you both so I don't care.”

Roberts was previously in a relationship with her “American Horror Story” co-star Evan Peters. The pair ended their engagement in 2019. In 2013, Roberts was involved in a domestic dispute with Peters that resulted in her being taken into custody. In a joint statement to Us Weekly at the time, Roberts and Peters described the incident as a “misunderstanding,” adding, “Ms. Roberts was released after questioning and the couple are working together to move past this matter.”
Roberts and John confirmed their relationship in August 2022, with John sharing a photo of the two kissing on a boat. “Sweet sweet,” he captioned the photo. Roberts recently spoke about John in an interview with People magazine, saying, “My boyfriend and I were watching the movie 'Iron Claw' and we were both crying. It was a disaster where we cried and then we laughed at each other crying, which made us cry even more.”

Roberts, who is Julia Roberts' niece and Eric Roberts' daughter, also made headlines for her comments about the “nepo baby” label.
“I've lost more jobs than I've gained working in this industry,” the “Scream Queens” star told Flaunt magazine. “People have opinions, and sometimes they're not good opinions of their own families. I've never lost a job because of it, but I've definitely lost a few jobs because of it.”
