According to reports, Shannen Doherty finalized her divorce from ex-husband Kurt Iswarienko just one day before her death.
The late actress, who died on Saturday after battling cancer for nearly a decade, filed a petition on Friday to dissolve the former couple's marriage, according to People magazine and E! News. The petition stated that the divorce was a “dissolution by default or without contest” for both Doherty and Iswarienko.
According to the outlet, Doherty and her ex-spouse “also entered into agreements regarding property, marital and domestic relations rights and support.”
The agreement reportedly sees the “Beverly Hills 90210” star waive his right to spousal support from Iswarienko and also asks Doherty to end her spousal support for the photographer.

Shannen Doherty says she had 'no choice' in divorcing Kurt Iswarienko
Doherty filed for divorce from Iswarienko in April 2023, a representative for the actress confirmed to USA Today at the time.
“Divorce was the last thing Shanann wanted,” her agent Leslie Sloane said in a statement. “Unfortunately, she felt she had no other options.”
Doherty later posted on Instagram, “The only person you deserve in your life is someone who treats you with love, kindness and complete respect.”
Doherty was diagnosed with breast cancer in March 2015, and revealed to USA Today in August 2016 that the cancer had spread to her lymph nodes. She underwent a unilateral mastectomy that same year, and completed radiation and chemotherapy in February 2017, but announced three years later that the cancer had returned.
During the divorce battle, Doherty reportedly claimed Iswarienko was delaying the process of receiving spousal support by withholding financial information from the “Heathers” star about her photo shoot work.
“It is simply not right to allow Kurt to postpone our divorce in the hope that I will die before he owes me any money, while avoiding his responsibilities to his dying wife of over 11 years,” Doherty argued in court documents, reported People magazine and E!.
