President Joe Biden managed to host a major fundraiser with David Letterman, a crucial win for those hoping to keep him in the White House in what is expected to be a hotly contested 2024 election.

Late night show host, Night Screening President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden will join the cast of the show, which has run for 22 seasons.
The fundraising event on July 29 will be held at the home of a family friend on Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts, Hawaii Gov. Josh Green said. The Associated Press.
Greene, a longtime friend of the Biden family, said if Biden were to withdraw, he would likely nominate Vice President Kamala Harris to replace him.
“The president is going to continue in this race unless he feels he can't win or he feels he's hearing from his aides that he shouldn't run,” Greene said. “If he feels he's not the right person for the job, really not the right person for the job, he's going to step down.”
Harris reportedly met with donors on Friday to convince them to support the president, despite growing concerns within the Democratic leadership about his chances of winning.
