Meghan Markle gave fans a surprise on Thursday by revealing details about her new lifestyle brand. American Riviera Orchard – and it already has the support of her famous friends.
The Duchess of Sussex, 42, shares her latest business news on her new Instagram page, which has already amassed a total of 315,000 followers.
The list of celebrities following the duchess' new account includes Kris Jenner, Abigail Spencer, Elle Macpherson, Mindy Kaling and Misha Nonoo.
Mandana Dayani, who served as president of Archewell from 2021 to 2022, is also on the list. Mandana also shared a message on her Instagram account when the news was announced.
It read, “Such an amazing day!! I can't wait for everything that's to come. Follow @americanrivieraochard for more information. It's going to be incredible!” and was shared alongside a screenshot of the brand's Instagram page.
Meghan's other close friends also couldn't wait to show their support. Kelly McKee Zadifen and Heather Dolak were also among the first to follow the new brand. Just a few weeks ago, Kelly and Heather were pictured enjoying an extended family ski trip with Meghan Markle and the Sussexes.
Kelly couldn't be more proud of her friend and shared a message on her Instagram account following the news. She wrote, “I couldn't be more proud of you and what's to come. Stay tuned!!! @americanochard. I love you.”
As well as launching the new page, Meghan also shared a teaser trailer for what's to come. The stylish clip had a vintage theme and showed the mother of two cooking in a beautiful stone kitchen.
The video showed the duchess arranging white hydrangeas and roses, and also featured a glimpse of Meghan in a billowing black floor-length dress photographed from a distance. The pastoral stylized clip was set to Nancy Wilson's “I Wish You Love.”
The page also shared the brand's logo, written in gold calligraphy, across nine posts. The images confirm that the brand is based in Montecito, where she and Prince Harry built a new life with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, after leaving the UK in 2020.
Although the exact details of what the brand covers have not been confirmed, PA reports that the trademark application, filed on February 2 this year, states that the company sells products such as downloadable and printable recipe books, tableware and textiles. It is said that there was a desire to provide jam and marmalade. According to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office website.
This isn't the first time Meghan has launched her own lifestyle brand. Before marrying her husband, she had a successful blog called 'The Tig', which she previously described as 'conversations between her girlfriends'.
As well as fashion and beauty, the page will also feature insights into Meghan's life as an auditioning actress and inspirational messages. This page was discontinued in 2017.
