The world was shocked on Friday when Duchess Kate announced that she was battling cancer.
Many celebrities took to social media to react to the shocking news, including Dr. Jill Biden, Olivia Munn, Katie Couric, and Meghan McCain.
First Lady Jill Biden was praised Kate praised his bravery, writing to X: “You are brave, we love you.”
Olivia, who recently revealed her secret battle with breast cancer, wrote on Prince William and Duchess Kate's Instagram: “Thank you for showing me what it looks like to fight for yourself and your family with grace and determination. I wish you all the best.”
Katie, a breast cancer survivor, said: “The Duchess of Cambridge revealed on Friday that she has been diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing preventative chemotherapy. As someone who has lived with cancer, I was so touched by her words. I send my healing thoughts to her and her family.”

Hours before Duchess Kate revealed the news, Jamie Lee Curtis urged many to put an end to conspiracy theories. She wrote on Instagram: “Can we please stop this bullshit conspiracy theory?” This is a human with young children and it's clearly some kind of health issue. That's a private matter. Don't we have more important things to do, think, and worry about? It really is the lowest point in our society, even though there are so many serious issues that need our attention. ”
Catherine Zeta-Jones said: “Wales and the world are with you, Her Royal Highness, Princess of Wales. Love to you always.”
Meghan McCain's father, John McCain, passed away from glioblastoma in 2018. I wrote it on X, “America sends strength and support to Princess Kate and the entire Royal Family during this difficult time. Princess Kate has always been the epitome of class and grace, and that has never been more evident than now. #F **kCancer.”
On Friday morning, Duchess Kate appeared in a video announcing her diagnosis, saying: “I had major abdominal surgery in London in January. At the time, my condition was not thought to be cancerous. The surgery was a success.'' However, post-surgery tests revealed that cancer was present. Therefore, my medical team advised me to undergo preventive chemotherapy and I am currently in the early stages of that treatment.”
