BBC One game show Gladiator is officially getting a celebrity special.
This year's revival series, hosted by father and son team Bradley and Barney Walsh, was a hit with viewers, with a reported 9.8 million eyes watching the opening episode in 28 days (via MailOnline).
Dan Baldwin, executive producer and managing director of Hungry Bear Media, told BBC Radio 4: “I can confirm that we will be doing a celebrity feature.

“You're always watching old shows that are no longer on TV. They're always coming up with new ways to bring them back. It's safe to say the response to 'Gladiator' has been phenomenal.”
Baldwin, who is married to Holly Willoughby, continued: “Each episode is packed with pulse-pounding drama, thrilling action and big emotions. The show will go from strength to strength in series two. We have some amazing surprises in store.” For the fans. ”
Kalpna Patel-Knight, head of entertainment at the BBC, also weighed in on the success of the reboot.
“Gladiators has started off on a really high note this year and we are delighted that fans have turned out to see the show in droves. “We're so happy to hear how much you love our Saturday night entertainment offering,” she said.
The BBC declined to comment further on the celebrity feature.

In other news, it was recently confirmed that BBC crime drama Shetland will be returning for a ninth and tenth series.
Ashley Jensen and Alison O'Donnell will reprise their roles as Ruth Calder and Alison “Tosh” Mackintosh, respectively, while co-stars Stephen Robertson, Lewis Howden and Anne Kidd will also return.
'Gladiator' will be broadcast on BBC One.
