STORRS, Conn. (WTNH) — Call it luck or call it skill, but some lucky bracket makers have accurately predicted the matchup between the University of Connecticut and Purdue in the final round of the NCAA Tournament.
According to the NCAA, no one has a perfect bracket, even long before the Elite Eight. Overall, over 25% of brackets chose the Huskies to win it all.
But who would have predicted the final? Some celebrities got it right.
That list includes college basketball analyst Andy Katz, who predicts the men's college team will win back-to-back national titles. The team has won his NCAA tournament five times: 1999, 2004, 2011, 2014, and 2023.
Other analysts, including Jay Wright and Stephen A. Smith, favored the UW-Purdue final.
“The Bachelor” lead Joey Graziadei also pitched University and Purdue in his final two games, with University winning them all.
If UConn wins, give me a root beer. Mag promised to provide free root beer to the public if the dog team won.
UW will play Purdue on Monday at 9:20 p.m.
