ASTANA – Multinational organizations and local businesses continue to donate funds to support the people of Kazakhstan affected by devastating floods.
Famous Kazakh singer Dimash Kudaibergen has donated 15 million tenge (US$33,542) to the Demeu Kazakhstan Charitable Fund to help flood victims, Kazinform reported on April 9.
Kudaibergen also visited the Anaga Tagzim (Mother Worship in Kazakh) volunteer headquarters in her hometown of Aktobe, which supports flood victims.
Victims have received significant assistance thanks to the efforts of 8,600 volunteers who have been working around the clock since the floods began in Kazakhstan.
“It was essential to come here to visit my compatriots who have always supported me since childhood and prayed for my success. In the news that the country is providing all the necessary support. The most important thing is that everyone recovers and can resume normal life,'' Kudaibergen said in a conversation with volunteers.

On April 9, Kazatomprom State Nuclear Company sent financial aid worth 3 billion tenge ($6.7 million) to areas affected by the natural disaster. The company's employees decided to help flood victims by transferring one day's salary.
“We sympathize with the plight of Kazakhstan due to the severe flooding situation in some regions of our country. We express our condolences to all those affected. Our solidarity And as a sign of support, in addition to the voluntary efforts of our employees, Kazatomprom is providing financial support to the affected residents,” said Meirzhan Yusupov, CEO of Kazatomprom.
In addition, Kazatomprom has relocated approximately 120 pieces of special equipment used for infrastructure restoration, local water purification, and restoration of critical facilities.
According to an April 9 statement, the Kazakhstan Kharkina Fund (for the people of Kazakhstan) will increase its assistance to flood victims to 10 billion tenge ($22.3 million). Previously, the fund It had allocated 5 billion tenge ($11.2 million) to build housing for victims.
