AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Amarillo College will host public forums from April 15th to April 19th, and finalists 2 in Amarillo College's search for a new president will be invited to participate in two of the forums. It was announced that the name has been decided.
According to AC, the forum will be held in Ordway Hall on AC's Washington Street campus.
Presidential finalists will participate in a 75-minute open session.
- A public forum featuring Dr. Laura Boyer will be held on Tuesday, April 16th from 3-4:15 p.m.
- A public forum featuring Dr. Andrew Bown will be held on Thursday, April 18th from 3:00 to 4:15 p.m.
AC said the forum was intended to provide internal and external stakeholders with an opportunity to get to know each candidate. Participation is open to everyone within the AC community and the general public.
As MyHighPlains.com previously reported, Amarillo College has named two finalists for the office of president through a vote of regents.
At the forum, featured speakers will deliver opening remarks and answer selected questions. Each candidate will be given time to make closing remarks, officials said.
AC said a date has not yet been set for the finalists to be announced, but discussions are set for April 22 to April 30. The vote will be announced and held during a public meeting.
