Niemi Swayze emphasized the urgency of the disease, saying: “Patrick's death from pancreatic cancer at the age of 57, just 22 months after his diagnosis, was devastating, but his fight lives on. That's why I'm back with PanCAN to raise awareness of this cruel disease. Early detection is difficult. Symptoms are vague and there are no standard tests for early detection. That needs to change. There is. Every purple stride, every dollar we raise, brings us closer to a cure.”
