'Claim to Fame' celebrity relatives reveal: Chris, Monáe and Gabrielle

ABC's claim to fame Monday's two-part finale wrapped up Season 2. The Celebrity Relative Guessing Game, co-hosted by Franklin Jonas and his famous relative, his brother Kevin Jonas, features an all-star cast that includes people like Tom Hanks' niece (who made a big mistake in the premiere episode) ), Eddie Murphy's daughter, and former President Jimmy Carter's grandson.

Throughout the reality competition, members of each player's famous family were kept secret from their housemates and viewers at home as hints were rolled out during weekly challenges. See below for the biggest clues we've gathered throughout the season about each contestant, our own predictions about their relatives, and who it turned out to be with everyone's claim to fame.

Gabriel

Biggest clue: Although his brother has won an NAACP award, the two look nothing alike. His relatives were born in San Diego. Photo clues include a beanie with a spinner, a drumstick, and a red star logo.He says his brother was on Nickelodeon. good burger Starring Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell. situation: After correctly guessing Monáe, we declared the winner on episode 10 on August 28, 2023.
Our prediction: Would you spend an hour matching every celebrity born in San Diego with an NAACP award winner? That's journalism, baby! That's why we've changed our previous wild guesses about Wayne Brady and made our final prediction that Gabriel's dissimilar younger brother is actually Nick Cannon, the prolific TV host and father. It has changed. All subsequent clues support this.

Monae

Biggest clue: She says her father is an Emmy Award-winning athlete, but one of those things is a lie. Photo tips include a fedora hat, a pink padlock on her necklace, and a cloud with a lightning bolt. situation: Monáe was eliminated from Episode 10 on August 28, 2023 after correctly guessing the win to Gabriel.
Our prediction: Several contestants, including Carly from episode 1, are suing for clues that Monae is Steve Harvey's daughter, and this is actually why we're skeptical. Well, I looked up photos of Harvey's family and couldn't find anyone that looked like Monáe. But the next thing we thought of was another Emmy winner who likes to wear hats. curb your enthusiasm Star JB Smoove, and well, the proof is there.

Chris

Biggest clue: His relatives are singers who look and sing like him and have stars on the Walk of Fame. His relatives say he was a big shot in the 70s. His bottle tips include 7 of his t-shirt symbols: Puppy, Heart/Love, T-Shirt, Letter N, Eyes, Doll, In. He is not related to Elvis or Elton John. Our prediction: A clue in episode 2 changed everything. We switch our initial guess about John Mayer to a betting prediction that Chris is in a relationship with “Puppy Love” singer and '70s teen idol Donny Osmond. Now, we are more interested in whether the young people in the house can assemble this.

Kasin

Biggest clue: She claims to be related to a male musician, but it remains to be seen whether this is a lie or not. Her bottle tips include Trophy, Eraser, Minus, E, Coin/Penny, 2 Records Her Player, 4, and Mug symbols. She is not related to Jeff Gordan. Our prediction: The clues on the bottle seem to point to a racer who held two records and won a trophy for drinking the most mugs of beer.we might have seen ford vs ferrari But knowing the statistics of race car drivers is not our forte. However, there are some pretty big stars on the roster this season, so there's no doubt they're big enough to at least name, and the top candidates would be Dale Earnhardt or Mario Andretti. The name Karsyn doesn't seem to be a very Italian name, so…

J.R.

Biggest clue: He has a famous brother who is not in the NBA. His relatives were born in Lithia Springs, Georgia. Photo clues include a chef's hat and a pacifier. situation: JR was eliminated in episode 8 on August 14, 2023, after incorrectly guessing Chris' relative to be Billy Idol.
Our prediction: The list of Lithia Springs celebrities is incredibly short, with only Lil Nas X listed as actually being born in the city. New clues also support this.

hugo

Biggest clue: His grandfather won a Nobel Prize and was at one time “the most powerful man in the world.”
situation: Hugo was eliminated in episode 7 on August 7, 2023, after incorrectly guessing Chris's relative as Elton John.
Our prediction: We are certain that he is related to former President Jimmy Carter.
A celebrity relative revealed: Jimmy Carter is Hugo's grandfather.

olivia

Biggest clue: She says she is a relative of the Razzie Award winner, but we don't yet know if that's true. Photo clues include an alien headband, sparkly glasses, and a red plus sign medical symbol.
situation: Olivia was eliminated in Episode 6 on July 31, 2023, after incorrectly guessing Carsyn's relative to be Jeff Gordon.
Our prediction: The latest clues are giving us Robin Williams vibes, but since he's not a Razzie Award winner, we're still a little in the dark on this one, and so far it seems like Pauly Shore or Tom Green I'm sticking with a very wild guess.

Biggest clue: The only information we get from him during Two Truths and a Lie Icebreaker is that his famous relative is his father, and we don't know if that's true or a lie. He thinks the Swiss cheese statue is a clue.
situation: Cole was eliminated in Episode 5 on July 24, 2023 after being correctly guessed by Carsyn.
our predictions: I haven't been able to find any solid clues to figure this out.

Shane

Biggest clue: She says her father is a Grammy-winning musician, but we know one of those is false. Her bottle tips include symbols of a crown, coins, travel, America, an antlered deer, and wheat. We also know that her relatives were born in 1961.
situation: Shane was eliminated on July 17, 2023, episode 4 after being correctly guessed by Cole.
our predictions: Otei!Based on the clues on that bottle, we're sure she's related to S.N.L.”buckwheat and star come to america, Eddie Murphy, born in 1961, won a Grammy Award for his comedy album. (Interestingly, Murphy also won a Razzie Award, as did the Jonas Brothers.)

jane

Biggest clue: Two of these things are true and one is false. Her famous father is a Grammy Award-winning musician. Her relatives say she was born in 1946. Her photography tips include orchids, blue collars, and parrots.
situation: Jane was eliminated in episode 3 on July 10, 2023, after incorrectly guessing Chris' relative as Elvis.
our predictions: Jane has come to visit and we are a bit confused. The only concrete clue we have is the birth year of her relatives. The list of big stars born that year included Cher, Dolly Parton, Liza Minnelli, Steven Spielberg, Sylvester Stallone, Sally Field, Diane Keaton, Cheech Marin, David Lynch, Susan Sarandon, Tim Curry, Tommy Lee, and countless other names have been mentioned. Jones and Andre the Giant. None of the men on the list have a daughter named Jane, so the “father” in her icebreaker clue may be a lie and the relative may be more distant than her parents. We are betting that there is sex. Olivia may have been wrong to dismiss Hugo so easily, saying that all the wigs on the wall of clues indicate that Jane has an affair with a rock star. Is Jane from the South related to Dolly Parton, the 10-time Grammy winner and famous wig lover who has 11 siblings? We're ready to lose our minds when we see Aunt Dolly appear on this show.

Biggest clue: He tells the group that his father is a Broadcast Film Critics Association Award-winning actor, but he knows that one of the latter two is a lie. He worries that reciting his first 100 digits of pi will put him in the “nerd category” and, given who his father is, this is a risk, he says.
situation: Travis was eliminated on July 3, 2023, episode 2 after being correctly guessed by Gabriel.
our predictions: Our calculations show that he is related to the famous astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson.
