1.“My cousin dated Josh Hartnett briefly in college, before he got his big break. Pearl Harbor And he became famous. She said he was a nice guy. I think they met at a high school reunion of one of her friends and hit it off.”
2.“In my late 30s, I had dinner with Teri Hatcher. I got a goodnight hug. She was very polite to the waiter. About 15 minutes into the date, I realized she wasn't interested in me (which is completely understandable). I'm proud of myself for having the guts to ask her out.”
3.“RJ Mitte (Walt Jr. Breaking Bad) hit up my daughter at a poker tournament and bought her a drink. My daughter had to gently tell him she was waiting for her husband who was at the tournament. My daughter said he was a very sweet and laid back guy. LOL.”
Four.“My stepdad's high school sweetheart was Kelly Ripa. When they met, she wasn't famous yet, but he took her to an audition, which led to her big break. When she got the job and he had to move to the city with her, at first he thought it was so cool. The networking was great, he got to go to all the celebrity parties. It all seemed so cool, but as her fame grew, he started to hate it. He'd finished college, and while he used to be the one providing for her, now she was the one paying all the bills, upgrading the apartment, everything. He didn't feel comfortable spending her money, but he didn't have enough of his own to live comfortably with the people she was dating… places to eat out, events to attend, etc. And he felt like he was just a supporting character, sitting alone with her bag while she was talking to Hollywood bigwigs at parties…”
“My father also missed his hometown and wanted to see his family more. A few years after my mother became famous, my father packed up and moved back home. Within a year, my mother fell in love with another actor, and my father met and married my mother. It was a few years later that my mother became world famous in her new job and appeared everywhere: on TV, in commercials, on grocery store packaging. I remember my mother explaining to me why seeing them made my father uneasy. Around that time, we had our high school reunion and my father was planning to attend, but as soon as he parked, the limo that was supposed to be taking my mother showed up, and he panicked and ran home. My father still doesn't talk about it much. I think my father, who lives paycheck to paycheck, regrets giving up a life of convenience and wealth. But I don't think he regrets raising me and having my siblings. Looking back, I don't know if he would change things.”

Five.“About eight years ago I met Corey Feldman at Comic-Con. He asked me out on a date, but I politely declined. Then he tried to invite me to a haunted house (???). Whenever we're watching a movie and his face is on the screen, my parents joke that we could have gotten married.”
6.“I had a casual relationship with Danielle Fishel Boy Meets World I dated her when she was at Northwestern University. Sex friends wasn't a common term back then, it was something we'd never heard of… but we weren't officially dating. She was a really great person.”
7.“A friend of my father dated Paula Abdul in college. He always has good things to say about her. He said she was a kind, bubbly woman and they had a fun time together.”
8.“I know someone who became friends with TJ Miller when he was still a traveling stand-up comedian in the late 2000s, before he made it to Hollywood. He would steal freshly baked cookies from their kitchen in the morning before leaving.”
9.“Courtney Love started flirting with me in a bar in Indianapolis in 1995, late one night after a concert at a local arena. She glared at me as I walked in, as if she thought she didn't like me. It was a little weird, but she was a little drunk, so whatever. She walked up to me at the bar with two large men who I assumed were bouncers. She loudly ordered drinks, stood very close to me and repeatedly touched my shoulders and chest. I couldn't get the conversation going, and the whole experience was quite traumatic. At one point she said I looked like the character Linus from Star Wars. Charlie BrownI didn't know what that meant, but I eventually made it to the bathroom and left.”
Ten.“A friend of mine almost dated Uma Thurman. This was before cell phones. He got her phone number by writing it on a dry-cleaning slip, but he made the mistake of using moisturizer on it, and the ink smudged, making the number unreadable.”
11.“I haven't dated her but I did kiss Dannii Minogue (Kylie Minogue's sister) at Gay Pride in Clapham Common in London.”
12.“My mother dated the guy who invented Crazy Bones. I had all the original stuff. We used to go to schools and do demonstrations. He struggled at the time, but eventually his company boomed and became bigger than Pogs. But my mother had broken up with him before that.”

“Not at all! Sometimes it feels like the timelines have been swapped since no one seems to remember Crazy Bones. It's good to know I'm not detached from reality. Too bad the Crazy Bones guy isn't your stepfather.”

13.“I once sat next to Natalie Portman on a plane. We talked about designer handbags and then supported each other through some terrible turbulence. She was already in a relationship and I was gay…but it was still an unforgettable experience.”
And finally…
