“I started dating this guy when I was in high school. We were very serious. We went to the same college and got engaged. I graduated a year early and moved to the other side of the country. I went to graduate school. I returned home to graduate from college. At my fiance's graduation, as soon as I entered the house, his best friend (who is also my brother-in-law) pulled me aside. Then my fiancé told me he got drunk at a party and slept with this girl. I was completely heartbroken and we broke up. “I married my fiancé and got on a plane and went back home. A month later, he started graduate school in London, and I found out on our mutual friend's Instagram that he had married this woman he met when he moved. I was angry that he got married three months after we broke off our engagement and that he asked my brother to lie about it.”
“Two years later, my brother was getting married, and my ex-boyfriend was the best man. I didn't care about him getting married anymore, but I didn't care about him taking his wife, who was pregnant with him for a year. I was hurt when he showed up (I can't have kids and when we were together he said he didn't want kids).
At the reception later that night, I got very drunk and ended up talking to my ex's father. The situation escalated. We slept together, and I, who had not fully recovered from what my son had done to me, carried on a public relationship with his father for six months. ”
