- Polina, 27, who lives in Vladimir, said Bella was “friendly” but lashed out at her bodyguards.
Supermodel Bella Hadid has been accused of treating non-celebrities like “second class citizens” after a Russian influencer claimed her security team tore her couture dress.
Polina Nioli Pushkareva, a model, social media coach and actress from Vladimir, posted a video on Instagram that she claims was taken shortly after Bella's security guard broke her sheer black dress at the Cannes Film Festival. Posted.
In the clip, Bella, 27, can be seen standing to the side of the shot and looking forlorn as the camera pans towards her, while the other model, also 27, poses in a sheer nude dress which featured a plunging neckline.
The video says: “Today is your most important day, you'll be wearing your first haute couture dress on the Cannes red carpet. We're lining up in the carpet car at the hotel, and Bella Hadid's bodyguards say to everyone, 'Move!' ” he yells, pushing you to the side and stomping on your dress, causing it to rip. ”
Viewers who saw the clip accused Berra's team of treating non-A players as “second-class citizens” and suggested the bodyguards were “disrespectful”.
Polina further explained her anger on Instagram, saying she found Bella Hadid “incredible” and the supermodel herself “lovely” and “friendly”, but felt disrespected by the security team.
FEMAIL has reached out to Bella's representatives for comment.
Polina wrote: “Bella is incredible and has such a great vibe, but the idea that celebrities are more important than other people is insane.”
“Other people are spending money on costumes, they're putting together teams of 20 people, they're spending money on preparation.
“Celebrities are stressed too, but they still think walking the red carpet is more important.”
Polina insisted that every time she takes photos or videos in public, she apologizes for the inconvenience she causes to those around her.
She writes: “You can see me smiling awkwardly because I know there are hundreds of cameras capturing this situation. When I told her bodyguard that I had ruined her dress, he said, “But the situation… You know what I mean.''
Polina did not post any photos or videos of the ripped dress, but people have reacted angrily to the influencer's description of the incident.
“Cancel celebrity culture,” one person wrote under Polina's post.
Another accused the bodyguard of being “rude” and told Polina: “I hope you're still enjoying your time there, love.”
One viewer tagged the supermodel in the video and said: “We love you, but please ask your bodyguard to apologize. At least say a simple 'I'm sorry' instead of 'I'm aware of the situation' and offer to fix your dress.” ”
Many others agreed that if the dress was really broken, Bella's team should reach out and offer to fix it.
“It's really unfortunate that this happened,” one person said. “People should treat others with respect, whether they're famous or not, and unfortunately some security teams forget that.”
Polina later told her followers on her Instagram Story that the incident was an example of why people feel “angry” towards celebrities in this day and age.
She said: “We're staying in the same hotel as celebrities.'' We are paying the same price for the room. We have cars, we have big teams. I'm also paying for the costumes.
“Why do you think you have more rights or priority to use the hotel space where we're both staying?”
