In our column, “What I Can't Live Without,” we've interviewed hundreds of celebrities about their favorite products, and now we're going to dig deeper into their favorite products. beddingWhether they're sensitive to heat, particular about their top sheets, or bought on a spouse's recommendation, stars are just like the rest of us and sleep best in their favorite sheet sets. While the list includes some pricey brands like Frette and D. Porthout, there are plenty of more affordable options, including sets from Strategist's favorite brands, Brooklinen and Parachute. To make it easier to peruse the celebs' recommendations, we've organized the list into categories of sets and single items. And, if multiple celebs recommend the same bedding, we've included comments from all of them. FYI, all prices listed are for queen-size sheets unless otherwise noted.

“I'm a self-loathing comedian, so I don't allow myself a lot of luxuries in my life, but this has always made me feel really wealthy, and it's the way I should treat myself. The way everyone should treat themselves is by having something like Cozy Earth sheets. They're buttery smooth and cool and just feel so elite.”May 2024

“I don't sleep much, but when I do, I want to sleep well. After living in the U.S. for 10, 15 years, I started to appreciate the quality of my bedsheets. I remember staying in a really nice hotel once and having a great night's sleep. I looked at the bedsheets and this was the one. Smooth, soft, high quality.”January 2022

“When we moved into this house a few years ago, we bought linen sheets from a high-end Italian linen brand. We loved linen because it's the most comfortable fabric. The more you wash it, the softer it gets, and the more you wear it, the more it develops its character. We got so worn that it had holes in it. So, Parachuting is so accessible, it's worth giving it a try.I've had them for 3 months now and I love them. They're not expensive and they're great linen sheets.” —October 2017

“Sheets are one of those things that makes you think the more expensive the better. These sheets are definitely not cheap, but when you sleep on Frette sheets, they're just as soft and lovely. I've been using them for about five years now. I don't remember who recommended them to me, but I vaguely remember saying to someone, 'Oh my god, these are the best sheets I've ever touched. Don't tell me how much they cost,' and they lean over and say, 'Lands' End.'”December 2023

“The gift I gave myself after signing my second book deal was, in a way, the gift of rest. I knew I was going to need a lot of rest to publish my next book. I bought brand new Tekla bedding. I love Tekla, but they're not cheap. And I got the whole thing: duvet cover, pillowcases, top and bottom sheets. You're probably wondering what this has to do with my kitchen, right? Yep, you guessed it, it's all butter-colored.”June 2023

“I'm very picky about bedding and always try to get the perfect fit. I resisted linen sheets because I thought they would be itchy. But linen makes the most sense for me. I get so hot when I sleep on it. Linen is soft, yet durable and delicate. It's breathable and feels luxurious, but natural.”June 2022

“These are the best sheets I've ever had. They're amazing to sleep on. I just bought them recently but always felt like they were a little too expensive for a casual purchase. I'd always wanted them but couldn't justify it. Then I had a session with my life coach and we talked about how I needed to be kind to Beverly and seize the moment, so one day I decided to take the plunge and get them. I realized I was worth it. Now I know why everyone raves about them.”December 2020

“I have to admit where credit is due. This is my wife. When we started dating, she said, 'Your sheets are the dirtiest I've ever seen.' I never had any interest in bedding or sheets, but now I'm obsessed. We love sheets, but they have to be very dense, like Frette.”October 2020

“I've moved nine or 10 times in the last 10 years, so I've tried a lot of different sheets, but I've never spent a lot of money on them. When I bought my first house a couple of years ago, my interior designer, Ryan Corbin, said, 'No, I'll get you sheets,' and we got them from Frette. Now I can't go back to Bed Bath & Beyond sheets. There's just a whole different quality and feel.”December 2019

“I remember one of the first hotels the Spice Girls stayed in was the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills – the most amazing hotel you can imagine. And of course, all these hotels have one thing in common – amazing beds with the best bed linens. So you immediately think: I was able to get used to thisI actually bought this set for my brother. He moved just before Christmas. He bought himself a nice new bed, but nice bed linens were on his Christmas gift list, so I treated him to a treat. They're not cheap, but there's nothing quite like wrapping yourself up in Egyptian cotton bed sheets after that aforementioned bath.” —April 2020

“I used to buy really expensive sheets to take to the laundromat to have them specially washed. It was all just expense after expense. A few years ago I saw an ad for the Boll and Branch brand, ordered a set, and have loved them ever since. They're not cheap, but they don't need ironing and get softer the more you wash them.”April 2020

“I saw a lot of ads for these sheets a couple of years ago. They seemed to work, and I've been using them ever since. I upgraded to a king size bed, so I got new sheets. I'm very picky about what I put on my bed. I like everything to be really soft. I want to be super cozy, but I don't want to sweat to death. These sheets hit that balance I like. They're also super soft and clean. I'm the kind of person who likes clean, white sheets.”December 2019

“My mother had these linens when I was a kid, and there's really no one else who does prints like D. Porto. They're so crisp and pretty. Your bed can be a pile of literal white marshmallows in the middle of the room, or a little pattern adds character. D. Porto is insanely expensive, so collecting is part of the fun. For example, I bought my collection in stages. I bought two pillowcases on a sale, then two more, then I got paid for a big job and bought the sheets. I've also bought them on eBay, but the prices aren't that bad. Sometimes when an old lady dies in Des Moines, her family puts her whole collection up there.”October 2019

“Interior designer Sarah Schetter introduced me to these sheets. My boyfriend is very picky and won't touch anything linen, but these are the softest, most beautiful cotton sheets he's ever touched. I have the seashell and the light blue. They're so, so beautiful. They're probably my favorite things in our house.”August 2019

“I prefer satin to percale because the threads go in both directions, so it's flatter and less likely to pill. The fabric flattens out and becomes more silky with each wash. It feels like hotel sheets. I always buy white, and sometimes I buy ones with a little bit of a pattern, like gold or silver.”December 2023

“My mom, Rhea Pearlman, introduced me to this brand. She loves sofa throws. I bought this ginger throw for my dressing room at the theater because I wanted it to feel really cozy. I take naps on it between show days. The blanket is organic cotton, baby soft, medium weight, and earthy tones. It's perfect.”December 2023

“When I was a child, my aunt gave each of my sisters a satin pillowcase. Since then, I've loved sleeping on a cold pillow. As an adult, I bought a silk pillow, which is said to be good for your skin and hair. I think my hair doesn't dry out as much when I sleep on it. Also, if I sleep on a cotton pillowcase, I wake up with wrinkles on my skin… Now I can't sleep without it.”November 2022

“I always sleep on a silk pillowcase. I remember when I was about 15, my mom's best friend, who was an actress, told me that sleeping on a silk pillowcase was the No. 1 beauty secret. I've been doing it since I was in high school. Now I even take it with me when I travel. If I'm going anywhere for more than two nights, I always take a silk pillowcase with me.”October 2019
Kristen Bell
“The first time I put a silk pillowcase on my pillow, I thought, Is this who I am now? Am I the girl who blindly follows the silk pillowcase trend? But I'm a believer. So I put it on and never thought about it again. But the other morning, I woke up and walked into the kitchen, and my husband said, “Hey, what's wrong with your hair?” I looked in the mirror and saw that one half of my head had totally normal, soft, untangled hair, but the other side looked like it had been attacked in my sleep. I realized in the middle of the night that I'd turned over on my back and slept on a different pillow. And the clean-looking side was nothing but thanks to the silk pillowcase! It was a coincidental parallel experiment, but the silk pillowcase won by a million times.”—December 2018

“I came to Magniburg looking for black sheets. Some black sheets look a little cheap. They have a satiny texture and make you feel like they come with handcuffs and whips. What's special about Magniburg's black sheets is that they're a very deep black color with a matte finish. They're a beautiful color. They're all cotton, so they're very soft to the touch, silky smooth.”August 2021

“I love the cotton they use. It's not too hot, it's just right. It makes all the difference when you're wrapped up in those comfy sheets. Plus, they look really fresh. I bought two because I eat Justin's peanut butter cups in bed, and then I wake up with peanut butter or chocolate stains on my sheets. That's not a good life for a young man to live. So if you have a spare sheet, when you wash one, the other one is clean. You get that?”August 2021
