From Stormzy to Ne-Yo!
It seems like you need to have some kind of famous relative to appear on Love Island these days, but in recent years bosses have begun to enlist the help of real-world celebrities to add a little spice to the villa.
The All Stars series saw performances from Craig David, Wes Nelson and Ella Henderson, and with hip hop superstar Eve visiting in 2024, we thought we'd take a look back at some of the best celebrity guests to have appeared on the popular ITV2 show.
From the one and only Sean Paul to the unforgettable moment Scottish islander Anton Danyluk was reduced to tears watching his idol Craig David perform in series three, here are some of the best guests ever…
Love Island's best celebrity guests ever:
Stormzy
Remember when Stormzy took to Twitter to criticise Olivia Attwood's behaviour towards Chris Hughes? They came face to face when the rapper was sent into the villa for a video call with the contestants. Viewers were delighted, hailing the amazing moment as “the best TV ever”.
Tom Zanetti
Before he became known as a reality TV personality, DJ and producer Tom Zanetti entered the villa to perform tunes at the Islanders' Ministry of Sound party in series 4. It was here that he first met Hayley Hughes, and ended up dating her after she left the show.
Craig David
Craig David accidentally created one of the most iconic Love Island moments in history when he walked into the villa, belted out his hit song and brought Anton Danyluk to tears.
Mark Wright
When Love Island began in 2015, Mark Wright entered the villa in one of the series' most shocking scenes. No, he wasn't looking for love – happily married to Michelle Keegan, of course – he appeared on the show to DJ contestant Lauren Richardson's 27th birthday party.
Danny Dyer
Love Island viewers were shocked when Dani Dyer's dad Danny didn't enter the villa on meeting the parents – but he did appear via video call and managed to grill Jack Fincham.
Sean Paul
Ah, the time Sean Paul met Shauna Phillips. That's right, the legendary singer flew all the way to South Africa to appear at the villa's Spotify party for the first-ever winter edition of the ITV2 dating show.
Mabel
Mabel, who has transformed from pop superstar to pop superstar, entered the villa during the 2021 series to perform her hits “Let Them Know” and “Don't Call Me Up”.
Becky Hill
Following this trend, singer-songwriter Becky Hill appeared in the villa during the 2022 series, performing some of her biggest hits to cheer up the Islanders after Jack's shock exit.
2022: Joel Corry to appear on Love Island
Becky wasn't the only celebrity to appear on the 2022 series, as DJ Joel Corley surprised Islanders with his set during the VIBE party.
Alfie Boe
British tenor Alfie Boe made a stunning appearance at Ekin Su and Davide's epic final performance in 2022, serenading the pair with his beautiful voice.
Jax Jones and Calum Scott
Jax Jones flew to South Africa in February 2023 to perform a show for his fellow Winter Love Island cast members. He was joined by singer-songwriter Calum Scott, and the pair performed their new song, “Whistle.”
Ne-yo
International superstar Ne-Yo dropped into the villa during series 10 in summer 2023. The singer performed some of his biggest hits for the Islanders.
Rita Ora
Pop star Rita Ora performed at the 2023 Summer Series' annual Beach Club Party. Rita performed her single “Praising You” from her third studio album, “You.” & I'.
Craig David and Wes Nelson
At the 2024 All-Star Series, Craig David returned to surprise die-hard fan Anton Danyluk, and was joined by former Islander Wes Nelson, who performed the epic single “Abracadabra.”
Ella Henderson
Ella Henderson showed up to the Love Island: All Stars villa ahead of the final to perform her songs Alibi, React and Ghost. After the show, Ella took to Instagram to show her love, writing: “Love Island babyyy…
Eve
Hip-hop superstar Eve entered the villa during the 2024 series in June and performed some of her hit songs, including “Who's That Girl?”
Who performed in the Love Island villa in 2024?
2000s star Eve dropped into the Love Island villa during the 2024 series and posed for selfies with the Islanders after performing her epic song “Who's That Girl?”
Love Island airs nightly at 9pm on ITV2/STV2.
