Celine Dion and Lady Gaga aren't the only stars spotted in Paris for the 2024 Olympics.
The two singers not only added a dash of Hollywood glitz and glamour to the Paris Olympics opening ceremony with their celebrated performances in their native French, but the “My Heart Will Go On” singers were just the tip of the iceberg among the celebrity guests who were spotted getting a glimpse of the sporting action in the City of Lights.
From professional dancers from “Strictly Come Dancing” to Hollywood action heroes, chart-topping rappers and British Broadway stars, celebrities are flocking to France to join the Olympic crowd.
Here's who Yahoo UK has spotted so far:
Strictly's Katya Jones
Katya Jones, who is totally professional, was there to support Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty, who was her dance partner on the BBC show in 2021 and became the sixth couple to be voted off the show.
Peaty, 29, won a silver medal in the men's 100m breaststroke in Paris on Sunday night, with Jones cheering him on in the stands with his son George and girlfriend Holly Ramsay.
She wrote on Instagram, “I have so much respect for this man – such a wholesome person in and out of the pool. Like he said, a winner at heart – and he will always be our champion. Getting to watch him swim last night felt so personal and so special to be a part of Adam's cheer squad!”
Tom Cruise
Hollywood star Tom Cruise is based in London, but dropped into Paris over the weekend to watch the opening weekend games. The Top Gun and Mission: Impossible star stole something of a show when fans mobbed him in the stands and tried to take photos with him. The always-gracious celebrity, 62, patiently posed for a selfie.
But the actor also attended the games, cheering on the U.S. team in freestyle swimming and women's gymnastics, before flying home to London after enjoying a weekend in Paris.
Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande
British Broadway star Cynthia Erivo attended the Paris Games opening ceremony with her “Wicked” co-star Ariana Grande, who plays the witches Elphaba and Galinda in the film adaptation of the musical due for release later this year.
Not only did the pair strut down the red carpet at the Opening Ceremony in Wicked couture dresses, but they also watched the women's gymnastics competition together.
lady gaga
Following her spectacular cabaret performance at the opening ceremony, Lady Gaga was in Paris to watch the Olympic competition. She watched some of the swimming and gymnastics events with her boyfriend, entrepreneur Michael Polanski, whom she has been dating since 2020, and proudly wore a Team USA sweatshirt. Gaga was spotted meeting with French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal in the stands, where she reportedly introduced Polanski as her fiancé.
Snoop Dogg
Rapper and sports fan Snoop Dogg has been to the Olympics and is proudly rooting for Team USA — he's been spotted in the stands cheering on the swimmers and gymnasts — but he wasn't content to just sit on the sidelines.
The 52-year-old Californian musician and actor took part in the Olympic torch relay through Paris ahead of the opening ceremony. Snoop proudly carried the torch through the City of Lights, waving to the cheering crowds.
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend
Model Chrissy Teigen and her singer husband John Legend took the Olympics for a family trip, bringing their four children, daughters Luna, 8, and Miles, 6, to watch the gymnastics events.
Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban
Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman and her musician husband Keith Urban are also in Paris to enjoy the Olympic games.
While many VIP guests showed up to watch the women's rhythmic gymnastics competition during opening weekend, the Australian showbiz couple eschewed the plush booths and took to the streets for some skateboarding. Kidman and Urban were in the crowd for the women's street skateboarding final.
Jessica Chastain
Actress Jessica Chastain is married to an Italian aristocrat, but she made it clear who she was rooting for by wearing a Team USA Ralph Lauren sweater. Chastain, 47, took her two daughters, Giulietta, 6, and Augustus, 4, for a rare public appearance at a women's gymnastics competition.
Greta Gerwig
During the women's gymnastics competition, fans in the stands flocked to Tom Cruise and all eyes were on him, which meant that Barbie's director, Greta Gerwig, kept a low profile by sitting near Cruise in the stands and cheering on the US team.
Anna Wintour
Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour is no stranger to Paris, regularly attending fashion events, but she's also known to be a huge tennis fan, attending every Wimbledon in London and even attending several tennis events during the opening weekend of the Paris Olympics.
Nick Jonas
Jonas Brothers star and actor Nick Jonas was also spotted in the VIP box at the women's gymnastics event over the weekend. The singer, who is married to Indian actress Priyanka Chopra, revealed that he had been invited to watch the Olympics by American fashion designer Ralph Lauren.
He told The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, “I got a call and heard that Ralph Lauren was putting together a small group to go to the Olympics, and I'm so excited to be a part of it because the Olympics is such an amazing event.”
